Bizarrely Paul decided to crawl to Tyson but as soon as he popped up the former undisputed heavyweight champion gave him a slap.

Fight fans reacted to the heated exchange on X formerly Twitter.

One said: ‘Jake got in his face and has been goading him the last couple of weeks. Not a wise thing to do when Tyson is in fight mode.’

Another added: ‘That slap was personal.’

A third replied: ‘Thought it was scripted but Jake stepped on his foot lol, that’s why Mike pointed down.
