The second suspect is an employee of the CasaSur Palermo hotel, where Liam Payne fell to his death. The remaining suspect is a drug dealer accused of supplying drugs to the former One Direction member. The identities of these two suspects have not been announced.

According to the investigation, Liam Payne was in the hotel with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy a few days before the tragic incident. In addition to the room where the singer once stayed, the police also searched the hotel closet, reviewed security cameras and videos of the lobby and courtyard that were believed to be places where the singer had visited. The police suspect that Liam Payne’s death is related to drugs and alcohol. They assume that the hotel staff contacted a drug dealer to obtain illegal drugs for Liam Payne. When investigating at this address, investigators discovered traces of the person who supplied drugs to Liam Payne. Later, the police found the phone number and home address of the drug dealer. Here they recovered 1 jar of marijuana, 9 cell phones, 3 computers and 2 electronic storage devices.

Following the announcement by Argentina’s Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office, businessman Rogelio “Roger” Nores – who was suspected by the public as one of the three suspects arrested – denied his involvement in the crime of Liam Payne’s fatal fall from a building. He also denied being Liam Payne’s manager. “I am a very close friend of Liam and I am deeply saddened by the tragedy that happened to him. However, I never abandoned him nor was I involved in his death. I went to the hotel to see Liam 3 times that day. However, 40 minutes before the tragic incident with Liam, I left. There were more than 15 people chatting and joking with him in the hotel lobby when I left the hotel. In recent times I have never worked as a police officer or as a prosecutor,” said Rogelio “Roger” Nores.
Earlier, Alberto Crescenti, director of the emergency medical services of Buenos Aires, said that Liam Payne fell from a height of about 14 meters into the hotel courtyard. Preliminary autopsy results found that the singer had 25 serious injuries that caused internal and external bleeding, including skull fractures. In particular, according to the Argentine prosecutor’s office, Liam Payne could have fallen from the hotel balcony in a semi-conscious or completely unconscious state, with no self-defense reflexes to protect himself.
On November 7, Liam Payne’s body was flown from Argentina to England for burial. The father of the former One Direction member, Geoff Payne, was present to bring his son’s body home. For almost 2 weeks he has been on duty in Argentina waiting for the day to bring his deceased son back to the country. Liam Payne’s family will hold a private funeral, which will be attended by relatives and members of One Direction, including Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik.
