RB driver Daniel Ricciardo left Red Bull in a shock move at the end of 2018 Formula 1 season to join Renault (Alpine). However, the Australian is again dreaming of a return to the Milton-Keynes-based outfit.
In relation to this, Sergio Perez has been in jeopardizing form for Red Bull this season, provoking rumors of his replacement in the near future. Several rumors and talks have thereafter taken root, citing Daniel Ricciardo as a candidate for his seat.
The 35-year-old has, however, said that his chances of a return still hang in the balance, with many deeming him as unsuitable for the role. Ricciardo has scored only 11 points so far this campaign, failing to make a mark for the Red Bull sister team.
Coming into Budapest these could be two very important races. Going up [to Red Bull] is my dream, I'd love to return but then there's talks of do I even deserve to be here.Daniel Ricciardo said in the drivers conference at Spa-Francorchamps

Sergio Perez will now make best efforts to perform well during the upcoming races in order to save his seat. On the other hand, Ricciardo will also make attempts at doing the same in hopes of securing a seat with his former team.

Sergio Perez remains tight lipped on his future with Red Bull
Sergio Perez’s future with Red Bull is currently one of the hottest topics around the grid. The 34-year-old faces extreme pressure to perform for the Milton-Keynes-based team after a series of disappointing runs.
The only discussions there have been is how to get back on track, working with the engineers, working with the whole team. We all want to get back as we have the biggest challenge we've had in a while - to win the constructors' championship.

The Mexican’s inability to perform has cost Red Bull valuable points in the championship this campaign. The Austrian outfit faces major competition from McLaren, who have been superior amongst the two as of late.
Perez has talked of the discussions being held within the team to achieve better results in the upcoming races. Red Bull will now hope to bounce back to winning ways at Spa after missing out in Silverstone and Budapest.
