It is not officially out until next Tuesday but The Sun got hold of a copy accidentally released early in Spain.

It tells how a 23-year-old Harry had been in Paris for the Rugby World Cup – and asked his driver to be taken through the Alma tunnel where Diana lost her life on August 31 1997.

Harry says he asked to be taken through at 65mph – the speed his mum had been travelling before the tragic incident.

He said: “I’d always imagined the tunnel as some treacherous passageway, inherently dangerous, but it was just a short, simple, no-frills tunnel.”

He spoke to William after the trip – and the Prince of Wales admitted also going through the tunnel.

Harry wrote: “Afterwards, we talked about the accident for the first time. the recent investigation. We both agreed that it left a lot to be uncovered.

“The final report was an insult. a shambles riddled with basic factual errors where logic was conspicuous by its absence. it raised more questions than it answered.

“How was it possible, we wondered, after all the years that had passed, all the money that had been invested…?”

In another explosive section of his biography Harry told how he attempted to contact Diana beyond the grave.

Harry says he spoke to a woman “who claimed to have powers” who told him that Diana said he was “living the life she couldn’t”.

Harry claims the psychic told him: “You’re living the life she wanted for you.”

She also said his mum knew he was “looking for clarity” and “feels your confusion”.

Later in the book Harry reveals that Prince Charles used to joke “Who knows if I’m even your real father?” amid rumours that Harry was James Hewitt’s lovechild.

Harry said that his dad used to joke about an escaped Broadmoor patient he once met who claimed to be the Prince of Wales.

Charles would say the patient was so convinced of his identity that it posed “big questions”.

Charles would say: “Which could say which of us was insane. Who knows if I’m really the Prince of Wales? Who knows if I’m even your real father?”
