Cardi B arrived to the Met Gala in true Cardi form.
The rapper turrned up at fashion’s biggest night in an oversized tulle black ball gown by Chinese designer brand Windowsen, that will for sure go on the best dressed list of the night. She added an ornate head piece, diamond and emerald jewellery that included drop earrings, a necklace, a bracelet and emerald ring. The dress was so big that it took nine assistants to carry and arrange the tulle train of on the carpet of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s annual fundraiser.
While setting the dress on the carpet to take photos, Vogue’s live feed caught Cardi unlocking her phone and seemingly exposing her password, one eagle-eyed viewer claimed. Taking to X, the fan penned: “Not Vogue leaking her password like this.

Cardi was undoubtedly one of the viewers’ favourite looks of the night. One person on X, formerly known as Twitter, wrote: “Lil miss Extra. It definitely takes the whole community! Cardi B Stunned on the red carpet at the 2024 Met Gala #MetGala #MetGala2024.” Another person wrote: “Yasss Cardi b that’s how you shut down met gala [two fire emojis] #CardiGala.” A third person wrote: “Nobody has a better stylist than Cardi B. #MetGala #MetGala2023.”
Cardi honoured the late designer Karl Lagerfeld last year by dressing in a black-and-white collared ballgown by Chenpeng Studio. She accessorised the look with Karl’s iconic black tie. The rapper has become known to take risks on the Met Gala carpet and push the boundaries with her fashion.
