Lady Gaga finally responds to former classmate’s Facebook group that declared she would ‘never be famous’

Gloabl superstar Lady Gaga has finally responded to her ex-classmate’s Facebook group that declared she would ‘never be famous.’

The music icon, 38, has numerous hits under her belt in addition to Grammy wins and an Oscar victory – but before making it big, she was a student at NYU’s Tisch School of Arts.

For whatever reason, her classmates at the time created a Facebook group entitled, ‘Stefani Germanotta, you will never be famous.’

Now, Gaga has finally responded to the group’s existence with an inspiring message after a fan posted a screenshot of the group to their TikTok account.

‘Some people I went to college w made this way back when,’ Gaga commented on the post on Wednesday. ‘This why you can’t give up when people doubt you or put you down – gotta keep going.’

The closed group, which Gaga’s fans have been aware of for years, contains just 12 members and features a photo of a younger Gaga with a black X placed directly over her.

The future superstar has brunette hair and she wears a blue jacket and tank top as she smiles for the camera.

Gaga was a student at NYU for just three semesters before dropping out to focus on her music career, according to Village Preservation blog. She was 19 when she left the school.

‘I loved NYU, but I thought I could teach myself about art better than the school could,’ she told Elle in 2009 of dropping out.

‘I really felt New York was my teacher and that I needed to bite the bullet and go it alone. I wasn’t interested in going to frat parties and doing those sorts of collegiate things. I was really interested in the music scene and waitressing and cleaning toilets, or whatever the f**k it was I was doing.’

The TikTok post Gaga commented on also contained a list of her numerous accomplishments – which include 13 Grammy wins and an Oscar win for Best Original Song.

Her many achievements also include 10 Billboard Music Awards, two Golden Globe wins, and 18 MTV VMAs.

She catapulted to fame after releasing her debut studio album, The Fame, back in 2008.

She has released a total of six studio albums, including two collaborative albums with the late Tony Bennett.

In May the star, born Stefani Germanotta, announced that her seventh studio album would be coming soon.

She shared the news at the end of her Chromatica Ball concert movie on HBO and Max, with a title card that read, ‘LG7. Gaga returns.’

Gaga’s talents have expanded beyond music as she has also proven herself to be a bona fide actress with an Oscar nod for Best Actress for A Star Is Born, in addition to numerous other roles.

She’s set to star opposite Joaquin Phoenix in Joker: Folie à Deux, which sees her play Harley Quinn.

Outside of entertainment, she also has a line of cosmetics, Haus Labs.

As far as matters of the heart, Gaga became engaged to her long-time boyfriend Michael Polansky earlier this year.
