Rihanna explains why RZA&Riot are not allowed to wear clothes like normal kids: ‘If they wear it they will sick’

Rihanna wants her sons to grow up as their most authentic selves.

The “Umbrella” singer, 36, spoke with Vogue China for their April issue, telling the outlet she strives to embrace individuality in her work and parenting.

Rihanna is mom to sons RZA, 22 months, and Riot, 7 months, whom she shares with partner A$AP Rocky, 35.

“The most beautiful thing…is that [children] come into the world with their own individuality and sincerity.

Without any logic or conformity, which usually makes you feel that you must fit into a certain group,” she says.

“It’s really beautiful to see and I want to continue to help them navigate that and make sure that they know they can be whoever they want to be…

They should embrace it completely, because it’s beautiful, and it’s unique. I love them just that way.”

Rihanna has shared in the past that she likes to dress her sons in pink and floral patterns, opening up more about her choices in an interview with British Vogue last year.

“One of my favorite outfits he has is a miniature version of one of Rocky’s,” Rihanna told the outlet of a tartan kilt she had commissioned for her son RZA.

“I like to dress him in things that don’t look like baby clothes. I like to push it. I put him in floral stuff. I put him in hot pink. I love that. I think that fluidity in fashion is best. I always shop in the men’s department, you know.”

In an interview with Page Six in November, Rihanna shared that her connection with Rocky had gotten deeper since the couple welcomed their two kids together.

“I love him differently as a dad. This is major, major…it’s a turn on,” she told the outlet. “It’s just like, wow. What a leader, what a great, patient loving…and my kids are obsessed with him.”

Rihanna is a strong advocate for embracing individuality, especially when it comes to raising her sons. In a recent interview with Vogue China, the singer expressed her desire for her children to grow up as their most authentic selves. She believes that children are born with their own unique traits and should be encouraged to embrace them fully.

As a mother to two young boys, RZA and Riot, Rihanna is committed to helping them navigate their own individuality. She wants them to know that they can be whoever they want to be without feeling the need to conform to any societal norms. This message of self-acceptance and authenticity is something that Rihanna values deeply.

Rihanna’s approach to parenting extends to her sons’ wardrobe choices as well. She has been known to dress them in unconventional colors and styles, such as pink and floral patterns. In an interview with British Vogue, Rihanna discussed her preference for dressing her sons in unique and stylish outfits that defy traditional gender norms.

Her relationship with partner A$AP Rocky has also deepened since the couple welcomed their children. Rihanna shared with Page Six that she loves seeing Rocky in his role as a father, describing him as a patient and loving presence in their kids’ lives. She expressed admiration for his leadership and the strong bond he shares with their children.

It’s clear that Rihanna’s commitment to embracing individuality extends to all aspects of her life, including her parenting style and fashion choices. Her dedication to raising her sons as their most authentic selves serves as an inspiration to others who prioritize self-expression and acceptance.
