Pop sensation Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs superstar tight end Travis Kelce are without a doubt one of the most popular power couples on the entire planet, but there are certainly drawbacks that come with the fame. And they experienced one of those this week.
According to a report from the Associated Press, a 34-year-old alleged stalker who made online threats against both Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce was detained by police this week after he tried to enter one of her recent concerts in Gelsenkirchen, Germany.
“The suspected stalker, a 34-year-old whose name wasn’t released, had a ticket to Swift’s concert at Gelsenkirchen’s Veltins-Arena on Wednesday, police said in a statement. They said that, because an initial investigation couldn’t entirely rule out a risk, he was detained during entry checks to the event,” the Associated Press reported this week.
“Police said the man had made threats against Swift and her partner on social media. They said he had been detained following tips from organizers of the event.”
It’s not clear why the suspected stalker attempted to enter the concert, but it is a pretty terrifying situation for both Kelce and Swift, and it led to a lot of reactions on social media as a result.
The good news for Swift and Kelce is that the suspected stalker was detained by police until her concerts in the city are over, so he will not provide more problems to her.
