Anthony Joshua reduced to tears following his defeat.
Anthony Joshua broke down in tears during his post-fight press conference following his crushing defeat to Oleksandr Usyk.
‘AJ’ was unable to reclaim the world heavyweight titles as Usyk put on a clinic to defend his belts in Saudi Arabia.
The Brit was overcome with emotion as he took the mic and spoke from the heart in the ring.
And he continued to pour his heart out in his post-fight press conference, where he was reduced to tears after being asked if he was ‘proud’ of himself.
Joshua said: “Am I proud of myself? It’s really, really hard for me to say I’m proud of myself.
“I don’t feel anything, I’m upset deep down in my heart,” he added, before breaking down in tears.

Promoter Eddie Hearn comforted his fighter, with the 32-year-old explaining his actions in the ring.
“I was mad at myself. Not at anyone, just at myself,” he continued. “So, I thought I’ve got to get out of here because I’m mad. Like anyone when you’re angry, you might do stupid things.
“Then I realised, this is sport. Let me do the right thing.
“Then I just spoke from my heart. It’s been so tough. You see AJ holding it together and I’m a hustler so I try and hold things together and I try and work hard, put things together, make sure my team’s good. But it comes at a cost, a big cost. It’ll never break me, but it takes real strength for it not to break you.
“There’s a little crack in that armour. Because I took a loss and I think you just saw me upset.
“I’m a fighter. I’m not a normal person, even though I try to hold it together.
“I was just in war mode.”
Joshua goes back to the drawing board having suffered back-to-back defeats to Usyk.
