Christian Horner claims that Max Verstappen is the most consistent driver of 2024. The current season has seen 6 race winners in a single season for the first time in 12 seasons. Out of the 12 races, Verstappen has already won seven of them, and other drivers have won the rest.

Christian Horner while talking to the media, expressed his positive outlook on the current state of Formula one. He highlighted that Formula One is currently experiencing an exciting period with a variety of race winners. In recent five races, Formula 1 has seen drivers like Lewis HamiltonLando NorrisCharles Leclerc and Max Verstappen have all secured victories. This variability is making the championship more unpredictable however, Verstappen is still in the lead.

I think Formula One couldn't be in a better place at the moment. If you look at the last five, six races, we've had Lewis, we've had Lando, we've had Max, we've had Charles. It's moving around.

Christian Horner said, as reported by RacingNews365

Among all the winners Horner mentioned, he highlighted Max Verstappen as the consistent contender in Formula 1. He stressed that Formula One is thriving, highlighting the enthusiastic crowd it attracts. The 50-year-old also mentioned that Lewis Hamilton’s recent victory at British GP, particularly in front of his home crowd, was widely celebrated. This was also because the Briton won after a long period of time and that too at his home.

The only one that's managed to be there consistently has been Max. I think the sport is really in a…you can see by the crowds that it's delivering, and I'm sure Lewis' win was a very popular one in front of a home crowd.

Max Verstappen not concerned over rivals catching up with Red Bull

Max Verstappen stated he’s not bothered by how close the competition gets. The Dutchman said he’s focused on the team’s performance because that’s what is in his control. He believed that worrying about what others are doing won’t change his own race outcomes. Verstappen stated success comes from concentrating on the team’s efforts and making sure they perform their best, regardless of what the competition does.

I am not really concerned about that, because at the end of the day you are just working on your own team. That's the only thing you have control over. What the rest does, you have no control.

I think I'm always pretty relaxed, whether it's close or not. I don't think I'm very stressed in the car. You always want to have performance and then you are just critical when things go wrong or right.

Max Verstappen added
