Jake Paul won again at the weekend to move to 10-1 as a professional boxer, with his only defeat coming at the hands of Tommy Fury.

‘The Problem Child’ made light work of yet another MMA veteran in Mike Perry, stopping him in the sixth round of their contest in Florida.

Paul, 27, has claimed he is chasing a world title in the sport but as of yet has not really boxed anyone of any note to show that is truly the path he is taking.

Despite this WBA president Gilberto Mendoza has opened the door to Paul to fight for a world title.

He tweeted: “I am not against a Jake Paul vs Julio Cesar Chavez Jr for a championship.”

Chavez Jr was the WBC champion in 2011 at middleweight when he beat Sebastian Zbik to claim the strap.

He went on to make three defences of the crown before losing to Sergio Martinez.

But, fans have reacted angrily to Mendoza’s suggestion of the fight though.

One said: ‘The prestigious WBA Ostarine-Diuretic title’s inaugural bout. Being serious, what the hell have either of those two done to deserve any kind of title?’

Another replied: ‘If this happens… You should be removed from boxing altogether.’

A third commented: ‘When a boxing organisation lacks principle and respect for the sport, it’ll fall for money and hype! It’s a shame!’

A fourth moaned: ‘This tweet is a genuine insult to all boxers.’

Paul returns to the ring in November when he takes on boxing legend Mike Tyson in their rescheduled bout.
