Kim Kardashian is happy to let her kids experiment when it comes to expressing their creativity, but there’s one thing she regrets allowing her daughter North to do.

The 43-year-old – who just launched her SKKN by Kim makeup line – let North, who was then five, wear red lipstick for their family Christmas Eve party photos in 2018.

The snaps in question saw Kim pose with her then-husband Kanye West and their kids North, Saint and Chicago. Psalm was yet to be born.

In a recent interview, the reality TV star was asked about the Sephora tweens drama that’s been doing the rounds online – which has seen adults and employees get annoyed because kids are doing things like sampling expensive products.

Kim told Bustle of whether she thought her kids were on the Sephora tweens path: ‘My littlest one’s too little and I don’t let her.’

‘I look back and there’s times when I remember I let my daughter wear a red lip once for Christmas.

‘Would I do that now? Probably not,’ she admitted, seemingly referencing the 2018 pics.

Kim brought up 10-year-old North’s love of costume makeup, insisting the youngster just likes to dress her friends up, whether it’s ‘Pikachu or the Grinch’.

The beauty mogul added of her eldest child: ‘I don’t think she’s there yet to where she is going into Sephora and trying on stuff.

‘We were at Saks in the makeup department the other night and she tested something but put a heart on her face with it. I’m like, I don’t think that’s really why you use eyeliner.’

Kim shares daughters North and Chicago, six, as well as sons Saint and Psalm, four, with her ex-husband Kanye.

The interview also saw Kim criticise the ‘ridiculous’ response to her sometimes going makeup free for TikTok clips.

She insisted: ‘If you notice, all the TikToks are me without makeup. North has to get everything approved by me. The TikTok is on my phone.

‘So, all the pictures are taken on my phone. It’s not like anything’s posted without my permission. I just think sometimes it’s like, who cares?’

The fashionista added: ‘I film on my show all the time with no makeup. So, I find it just kind of ridiculous,’ insisting that fans regularly see her rocking a more au natural look.

Kim is definitely no stranger to facing backlash online. Social media users recently slammed her for doing her own, very lavish, version of the light-hearted ‘of course’ trend on TikTok.
