Netflix accidentally broadcast a shot of Mike Tyson’s naked rear end ahead of the 58-year-old’s freak-show showdown against Jake Paul but the streaming giant brushed off the gaffe in the perfect way.

The streaming platform endured an onslaught on criticism amid a myriad of technical issues Friday night but the boxing legend handed Netflix more trouble when the camera strayed below the belt.

During a backstage interview with his son Amir, Tyson, who ultimately lost to the former YouTuber by unanimous decision in sad scenes at A&T Stadium in Texas, left viewers with an eye-full.

Following a brief exchange where he predicted a ‘violent end’ to his fight with Jake Paul, Tyson turned around to reveal his bare backside.

That left co-commentator Rosie Perez wholly unimpressed as she remarked ‘We could’ve done without that butt-shot there.’

The view left viewers stunned and furious with the technical difficulties relenting for many just in time to see Tyson’s backside.

But Netflix decided to double down, sharing the clip to its 22.7 million followers on X, formerly known as Twitter, with an incredibly fitting pun.

‘Mike Tyson’s pre-fight interview got real cheeky. #PaulTyson,’ the streaming giant’s account wrote alongside the snippet of Tyson accidentally mooning the camera.

It had been billed as one of the most high-anticipated fights of the year but the bout between Tyson and much younger opponent Paul finished in disappointment.

Many fans were left underwhelmed at the lackluster spectacle with Paul even seemingly pitying Tyson as the boxing great lost to Paul in a unanimous decision in front of 70,000 people at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on Friday.

Tyson, who was fighting an opponent 31 years his junior, truly showed his age. He was sluggish and stiff, stumbling around the ring while failing to make an impact outside of the first 30 seconds – especially as his right knee was in a brace.

Tyson was unable to match Paul’s energy and his condition worsened throughout the eight-round clash. Though, despite the veteran’s struggles it was curious to see Paul refrain from landing a decisive blow.

And in the last 10 seconds of the fight, he even stepped back and bowed towards Tyson in a show of respect to sporting royalty – while effectively taking his foot off the gas.

Following the victory, the 27-year-old revealed that it was conscious decision not to inflict any unnecessary pain on the 58-year-old who, in his view ‘didn’t need to be hurt.’

When asked whether he eased up after noticing Tyson tiring, Paul said: ‘Yeah definitely. Definitely a bit.

‘I wanted to give the fans a show but I didn’t want to hurt someone that didn’t need to be hurt.’

And speaking to Mail Sport after the fight, Jake’s brother Logan said of Tyson: ‘I think Jake let him live.’

He added: ‘He’s tough, proud of him, weathered the storm against a young brute named Jake Paul.’
