Supermodel Karlie Kloss has been dragged into the ongoing spat between Kim Kardashian and Taylor Swift.
Taylor, 34, recently released her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, and eager fans have been analysing the meanings of its many songs. While some were written about the pop star’s ex-boyfriends including Joe Alwyn and Matt Healy, fans believe that one song in particular was aimed at socialite Kim, 43.
The song, thanK you aIMee, sparked interest among fans due to its capitalised letters spelling out ‘KIM’. The lyrics appear to take a swipe at Kim, reigniting their 2016 feud which began when Kim released an edited audio clip of a conversation between Taylor and Kanye West. Taylor later clarified that the call was taken out of context, a fact that came to light in 2020 when the full, unedited call was leaked.
Earlier this week, Kim took to her Instagram to wish her friend Derek Blasberg a happy birthday. It did not go unnoticed that Kim’s snaps of the two included a 2022 throwback of them standing with Taylor’s ex-best friend Karlie, 31, and Khloe Kardashian. Taylor’s fans are convinced Kim slyly shared the photo in response to the diss track.

Karlie and Taylor were best friends for many years, with the two going on holiday together, appearing on stage together and more. However, rumours of a feud began in 2017 Karlie wasn’t at Taylor’s famous July 4th party. It continued to spread over the years, with the feud even piquing the interest of A-list star Jennifer Lawrence – who asked what happened between them.
After Kim posted the photo with Karlie, the Swifties rushed to social media to share their conspiracy theories. “Wow I thought this was fake but maybe she does deserve the ‘thanK you aIMee’ comments,” one user wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, while another posted: “This is Kim’s attempt to fuel the fire that the song is referring to Karlie instead of her.”
Following the release of Taylor’s diss track, Kim’s Instagram follower count took a hit, dropping by 120,000 and continuing to fall. From a total of 364.3 million followers, she now stands at 363 million as of April 23. Taylor’s fans, known as ‘Swifties’, have been getting their own back, commenting the name of the song, ‘thanK you aIMee’, under photos posted by the SKIMS founder.
Taylor hasn’t directly confessed that the song is about the reality TV star, yet in the title, the letters KIM are in caps. Her lyrics reveal: “All that time you were throwin’ punches, I was buildin’ somethin’ / And I can’t forgive the way you made me feel / Screamed, ‘F**k you, Aimee’ to the night sky as the blood was gushin’ / But I can’t forget the way you made me heal.”
