According to Gomez, the Last Night singer didn’t recognize her when he met her with Bieber. The Only Murders in the Building actress’ revelation came in 2016 when she was already making waves in the industry. It is surprising that Diddy didn’t know of Gomez’s talents by the time, which in retrospect turned out better for the Good for You singer.

During their relationship, Gomez met with P Diddy who took Bieber under his wings. Interestingly, her Diddy encounter had an unexpected twist.
During a cover story for GQ in 2016, Gomez shared that she found it hard to blend in with the celebrities despite her global fame. She shared her Diddy encounter story to prove her point about her life of fame. She shared that when the Bad Boy CEO first met her, he thought that she was the valet.
She shared with the GQ interviewer, “Or when P. Diddy gave me his valet ticket once. Do you know what I mean?”. The interviewer was shocked at the revelation and had to confirm if they heard it right, “Wait, no, I don’t—why did he give you his valet ticket?”. Gomez had to clarify, “Because he thought I was the valet lady.”
While Gomez’s non-association with Diddy would be happy news for her fans now, it was also surprising that the disgraced musician did not recognize her. By 2015, Gomez had already released her two studio albums, Stars Dance and Revival. She also had the Disney fame, starring as Alex Russo in four seasons of Wizards of Waverly Place.
Even if Diddy was too busy to look at her accomplishments, he should’ve known about her given his associations with Justin Bieber at the time. Gomez and Bieber frequented headlines in the tabloids with their relationship as well.

Ever since the allegations, fans have unearthed multiple videos of Bieber with Diddy, turning every eye on Bieber.
The Love Me singer had largely remained silent during this period. A source close to him told Us Weekly that he is “completely disgusted” by the Diddy developments. Another source shared that the friendship was “in his past, and that’s where he wants to leave it.”
