(FOX40.COM) — Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner recently paid a visit to several California Department of Corrections crews who are serving at a Cal Fire camp.

The Cal Fire Amador-El Dorado unit said the Kardashian family went to its Growlersburg Camp on Thursday. There, incarcerated individuals train and help local, state, and federal agencies respond to emergencies like wildfires and floods. Kardashian was reportedly there to learn more about the camp and show support for the program.

Growlersburg Camp is jointly operated by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation and Cal Fire. The program “provides the opportunity for incarcerated individuals to rebuild their lives by serving as firefighters and pursuing careers in firefighting upon release.”

Over the past few years, Kardashian has worked to shift her reputation from a reality television personality to a champion for criminal justice reform. In 2019 she announced she was following in her late father’s footsteps and going to law school. In 2021 she reportedly passed one of two required bar exams to become a lawyer.
