MICHAEL JACKSON’S FINAL REHEARSAL VIDEO RESURFACES, LEAVING FANS IN DISBELIEF THAT THE KING OF POP IS DEAD
Michael Jackson will always be the King of Pop.
Michael was set to go on tour in 2009, when he suffered from cardiac arrest at home and died on June 25. His doctor, Conrad Murray, was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in his death in 2011.
He treated Michael’s insomnia with drips of propofol, used to help relax or sleep before and during surgery.
Now, a video, which shows Michael rehearsing for the This Is It tour and hours before his death, recently resurfaced the internet.
The video was taken on June 24, 2009, and shows the artist wearing a black bomber jacket over a white buttoned-up shirt (left open) and a black shirt under. He is also wearing black trousers with his hair in a ponytail.
Throughout the seven-minute video, the Thriller singer is seen rehearsing for the tour, smiling and laughing with his crew. The video shows Michael, dancing to Thriller with his backup dancers, and wearing Halloween-related costumes like in the music video.
Fans of the artist reminisced on his craft commenting: “He looks so tired. It hurts to watch this knowing how weak his heart was and how close he was to the end.But he was so driven and such a professional! He was the most amazing, gifted entertainer! We love you Michael and we will always miss you so much.”
Another commented: “This was his “This is It” tour, which means, his final show of all time, which means, he accomplished everything he wanted to do and he was retiring. Well done Michael.”
Another fan noticed how “exhausted: the artist was, writing: “You can tell how exhausted he is from everything but he still tried to get everything perfect for his fans, great determination and i love it.”
After this rehearsal, he was given Valium at 1:30 a.m. and finally injected with anti anxiety drug at around 2:00 a.m. by his live-in doctor Conrad. Michael was still awake after being given these medications when Conrad then gave Michael the propofol around 10:40 a.m.
When Conrad came back from using the bathroom, Michael had stopped breathing. He gave the superstar CPR, then alerted his security guards who called 911. At around 2:44 p.m., news of Michael’s death broke and was declared dead at the UCLA medical center.
