The “I Like It” rapper, 31, revealed she’s happy she’s graduated from wearing clothes that concealed her bump, joking on X, formally known as Twitter, that she doesn’t have to cover up anymore.
“I’m so happy y’all know that I’m 🤰🏻 now I can stop wearing those deum [sic] school girl skirts lmaoooooo 😂 😂,” Cardi wrote on Sunday, Aug. 4.
In the last few months, the soon-to-be mom of three wore several pleated miniskirts with high waists as she’s kept her pregnancy under wraps.
In May, Cardi posted a series of photos on Instagram, posing on a chair and wearing a gray pleated miniskirt. She accessorized with a tiny white handbag, often placing it in front of her stomach. “We good girls 😈,” she wrote in the caption.
For Mother’s Day this year, Cardi wore a white mini skirt, pictured holding hands with her daughter Kulture, 6, in a sweet photo on Instagram. “Happy Mother’s day 🌹,” she simply captioned the picture.
On Aug. 1, Cardi announced she is pregnant and expecting her third baby, confirmed the news on Instagram.
Cardi’s pregnancy announcement came one day after she filed for divorce from husband Offset, 32, after six years of marriage, a representative for the “Bodak Yellow” rapper confirmed to PEOPLE. “It’s not based on cheating rumors, but rather has been a long time coming,” the rep said.
The outlet reported that Cardi B is seeking primary custody of their children together, son Wave Set, 2½, and daughter Kulture Kiari. The divorce filing was not publicly available at press time.
