Joe Rogan has shared a new take on Mike Tyson’s controversial showdown against Jake Paul.
Tyson and Paul exchanged words and came head-to-head in a pre-fight press conference to promote their re-arranged bout, which takes place on November 15.
Tyson vs. Paul was postponed last month after the boxing legend suffered an ulcer flare.
But the clash will go ahead despite widespread condemnation from fans and critics alike.
And speaking ahead of their fight later this year, Rogan is torn on Tyson returning to action in a pro setting as he believes the former world heavyweight ‘can still knock your head into another dimension’.
But he’s still worried at how the 58-year-old will hold up against a much younger opponent.
In a new episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, where he was joined by actor Russell Crowe, the UFC commentator said: “58 is 58, no matter what you’re taking and what they’re doing for you.
“You’re still 58. But 58-year-old Mike Tyson is not 50-year-old Mike Jones that lives down the street, it’s a different kind of human being. He can still knock your head into another dimension if he can catch you.”

Rogan added: “The thing is, can he catch a 28-year-old guy who’s at the top of his career who is winning legitimate boxing matches? I mean, he’s beating former UFC world champions like Tyron Woodley. Jake had that very good fight with Tommy Fury who’s a legitimate boxer, that was a very good fight. And he just beat up Mike Perry who was a bare knuckle champion.
“He’s a real fighter, he can fight and if Mike Tyson and him are fighting and Mike can’t catch him? Then it’s hard to tell.”
‘Iron’ Mike hasn’t competed in a pro contest since June 2005 when he suffered a shock defeat to Ireland’s Kevin McBride.
But he met fellow boxing great Roy Jones Jr in an exhibition back in November 2020.
As for Paul, he claimed the tenth win of his pro boxing career after stopping Mike Perry last month.
