It Will Be Redemption Chance For Deontay Wilder As He Fights Stephan Shaw In April On BLK Prime PPV
The former heavyweight titlist will be back on the ring for a career survival in Atlanta, Georgia
Deontay Wilder who prides having been a former WBC heavyweight title-holder, will be through the ropes for career revival against Stephan Shaw in April on BLK Prime PPV in Atlanta, Georgia.
Wilder was last seen being floored in a remarkable sad design by a Zhilei Zhang who was able to smash what was left in store of the previously feared “Bronze Bomber”.
Further, Wilder was defeated in a fight with Joseph Parker. He dropped a wide decision against him six months earlier.
In a previous tweet from Manouk Akopyan, Wilder, 43-4-1(42) is set to face Stephen Shaw in a-return-to-action bout in April, on a BLK Prime promoted match.
“I’m told @BronzeBomber will return for a comeback fight in April on BLK Prime. Wilder and manager Shelley Finkel will meet with the media in Los Angeles on Saturday to announce the opponent,” read the post from Akopyan.
‘The Bronze Bomber’ Wilder is on an angle of depression career-wise. Therefore, he is in great need of a pick-me-up to recover his already tainted and sinking professional boxing career.
In his last five fights, Wilder has posted dismal performance of 1-4. Some fans perceive the 6’7″ Deontay as a deadbeat fighter.
They consider him as a condensed to the junkyard scrap heap. Thus, he is fighting in obscurity and no longer perceived as a world-class-level boxer.
Therefore, boxing Shaw (20-2, 15 KOs) will give the 39-year-old Deontay an opportunity to showcase his physical power if at all he can still pull the trigger on his punches.
On the other hand, Stephen Shaw, 32, is an endowed boxer.
He has size, power, and sufficient youth to provide a good test of where Deontay is at with his career. Besides, the guy isn’t a top-tier heavyweight, thus he should be an ideal for Wilder to steamroll in April.
Moreover, a defeat against Shaw will probably mark the closure of Wilder’s career because he perhaps won’t desire to embark for the chump change presented to him for bouts.
Deontay is a man of means. He is rich enough to where he doesn’t need to further subject himself through this mental torture.
Shaw’s two career losess have emanated against Joseph Goodall alongside Efe Ajagba. Apparently, he has no explanations of him losing to those boxers since they both can hit and are aggressive.
It is clear that the 6’4″ Shaw has ability, power, and he’s destructive.
Contrary to Deontay, Shaw is unafraid to lose. He has the opportunity to go down swinging against anyone.
Therefore, in case Wilder enters the ring and fight like he did against Fury, Joseph Parker, as well as Zhilei Zhang, the “Bronze Bomber” is going to lose to Shaw and possibly get knocked out.
