Lindsay Lohan explains Hollywood break as she makes big comeback
While starring on The View, Lindsay Lohan opened up about her decision to come back to Hollywood and her upcoming films Our Little Secret and Freakier Friday.
Lindsay Lohan opened up about her Hollywood hiatus during her latest appearance on The View.
Over the past few months, The Parent Trap actress has been busy working on several films including the highly-anticipated Freaky Friday sequel with Jamie Lee Curtis. Fans were ecstatic when she teased plot details for the upcoming Disney film.
During the press tour of her upcoming holiday film Our Little Secret, she stopped by The View, where she shared the reason why she came back to Hollywood.
After starring in four films in 2013, she decided to take a hiatus from the entertainment industry. Lohan left Hollywood and started a new life in Dubai.
She returned in 2018 for a sequel of the 2000 film Life Size. Ever since, she’s been focusing on creating a better life for herself.
Lohan told The View hosts that her break contributed to the successful work she’s producing now.
“Taking space away from the industry, I would say, is a big thing for me,” she said. “ I wanted to miss acting, I wanted to miss doing what I love to do.”
She added: “I needed to find time to be me and start a life, meet my husband, have a kid, have a real life so there’s somewhere to have some balance with work and life.”
Lohan said “age and growing up” is part of the reason she was able to do Freakier Friday.
The actress did share some details about the film.
“Lots of laughs and more music,” she hinted. “Very sentimental.”
Lohan said the cast and crew came together to create a “labor of love.”
