Loose Women star Brenda Edwards has opened up on the real reason why she always wears the colour blue as she spoke candidly about the loss of her son Jamal
Loose Women panellist Brenda Edwards has shared a touching tribute to her late son Jamal as she explains her frequent choice of wearing blue.
The 55-year-old TV personality joined Christine Lampard, Mariella Frostrup, and Myleene Klass on the latest instalment of the ITV show, where they touched upon everything from showbiz to politics.
During a heartfelt segment about how colours can influence our mood, Brenda opened up about her preference for blue, noting that it’s not only a colour she loves but also a way to remember her son Jamal, who tragically died in 2022.

Brenda candidly replied: “I would wear blue Monday, Tuesday, every day of the week if you allowed me to wear blue. I think a lot of people think I’m a bit boring and haven’t got much of a life!”
However, Christine delved deeper, eager to understand Brenda’s deep connection with the colour. Brenda then revealed: “Blue is my happy colour. It was my son’s favourite colour, blue and ever since his passing I have worn blue in tribute to him and it uplifts me and takes me into a lovely beautiful place, so that’s why I wear blue!”

In a sombre revelation back in February 2022, Brenda announced the devastating news that her son Jamal had passed away at just 31 years old. The respected entrepreneur and innovator lost his life due to cardiac arrhythmia, reports the Liverpool Echo.
In a heart-wrenching announcement at the time, Brenda stated: “It is with the deepest heartache that I confirm that my beautiful son Jamal Edwards passed away yesterday morning after a sudden illness.

“Myself, his sister Tanisha and the rest of his family and friends are completely devastated. He was the centre of our world.
“As we come to terms with his passing we ask for privacy to grieve this unimaginable loss. I would like to thank everyone for their messages of love and support. Jamal was an inspiration to myself and so many. Our love for him lives on, his legacy lives on. Long live Jamal Edwards MBE, MBA, PHD.”
