Luke Littler suffered an awkward moment during a darts match with Lando Norris during British Grand Prix weekend.

The teenage darts star, who won the Premier League earlier this year, paired up with Norris for a segment on Sky Sports F1 at the home of British motor racing. The duo took part in a light-hearted contest in the Silverstone paddock ahead of last Sunday’s race, where Norris finished third, reports the Express.

Littler began with the customary target of 501 compared to Norris’ 101. But the 17-year-old made some out-of-character mistakes as Norris landed some good shots to put himself on the verge of victory.

World Darts Championship runner-up Littler looked high and dry on 228 when things took another turn for the worse. The Nuke saw two of his darts bounce of the board, before his final effort went straight into the one.

That brought about an awkward celebration as Littler gestured with one finger up in the air to the amusement of the audience. Sky Sports F1 commentator instantly asked the youngster: “Luke, have you ever scored one before, ever?”

Looking rather embarrassed, Littler replied: “No.” Croft then joked: “This is a first, ladies and gentlemen, we’ve dragged Luke Littler to the level we can all play at.”

Littler emerged victorious in the game before Norris treated the darts ace to a hot lap around Silverstone. Norris’ own performance on Sunday, however, was less than stellar as he finished behind both Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen.

The race saw Norris and Hamilton locked in an intense battle, with multiple tyre changes due to the unpredictable weather. Hamilton eventually gained the upper hand after McLaren’s strategy blunder left Norris vulnerable, allowing Verstappen to slip past and secure second place.

Post-race, Norris expressed his frustration with the outcome, criticising his own choices during the event. He said: “I am fed up of saying, ‘I should have done better’, and ‘I could have done this’ or ‘I should have done that’. I don’t care. If it takes time, I don’t want it to take time. We should be winning now and I should be making better decisions than the ones I am taking.

“I am not being hard on myself. Should we have won? Yes. Did we win? No. I lost more points to Max and I cannot be happy with that. We threw it away in the final stop.”

Norris is set to return to the Hungary Grand Prix on July 21, while Littler will be back in his comfort zone at the World Matchplay this weekend. His debut in the tournament begins with a massive showdown against Michael van Gerwen on Monday night.
