Boxing legend Evander Holyfield approached KSI over a possible fight with the YouTube star.
As reported by talkSPORT, 61-year-old Holyfield, who last competed professionally in 2011, contacted KSI’s Misfits Boxing.
However, despite the recent trend of boxing legends returning to the ring, the fight wasn’t given the go-ahead by KSI’s team.
KSI’s manager Mams Taylor stated that KSI needs to be facing fighters who are ‘evenly matched’ and ‘at an even age’. He added that a fight with Holyfield wouldn’t have happened regardless of how much money was offered.
Taylor told talkSPORT: ‘I know Holyfield contacted us about fighting KSI.

KSI’s Misfits Boxing felt that the fight wouldn’t have been right for the YouTube star
‘Again, we wouldn’t do that. It needs to be two evenly matched fighters at an even age.
‘If it was Mike Tyson or Evander Holyfield for all the money in the world we wouldn’t do that.
‘I think it’s ironic because the cornerstone of Misfits Boxing is on a higher moral ground than some parts of traditional boxing.
‘We take care of the fighters, we make sure that the testing is good and that’s why fighters pop.
‘We do it and we do far more extensive medical testing before they are allowed to fight.

Holyfield’s desire to face KSI followed on from news of Mike Tyson’s upcoming bout with Jake Paul
‘We fight people matched together at similar levels, that is our ethos and I think there is something for everyone.
‘But we have a moral outline and we will try to stick to that regardless of the pay cheque that comes our way.’
Holyfield’s desire to take on KSI followed on from news of Mike Tyson’s upcoming bout with Jake Paul.
The fight is set to take place in Texas on November 15. 58-year-old Tyson will face 27-year-old YouTuber Paul.
Holyfield was the undisputed champion at cruiserweight in the late 1980s and at heavyweight in the early 1990s. He is also the only four-time world heavyweight champion.
