At the annual Lil Weezyana Fest, Birdman publicly apologized to Lil Wayne for the past legal disputes that strained their relationship. Addressing the New Orleans crowd, he said, “I knew this day would come, I just didn’t know when,” before offering a heartfelt “I’m sorry.”

Following the apology, Birdman and Lil Wayne performed Big Tymers’ hit “Still Fly,” marking a symbolic moment of reconciliation.

Wayne and Birdman’s strained relationship has been known for years, especially after Wayne filed a $51 million lawsuit against Cash Money in 2015. He alleged the label had breached contract terms by repeatedly delaying Tha Carter V and withholding significant payments.

Over the years, Wayne voiced his frustrations publicly, while Birdman continued to promise the album’s release.

Earlier, however, signs of reconciliation emerged as they were seen together at a club, with Birdman captioning a photo of the two with, “Me and my SON.”
