Artur Beterbiev beat Dmitry Bivol in their undisputed light-heavweight clash recently although many in the sport are still debating the result.

Beterbiev, 39, became the division’s first four-belt world champion with a split-decision victory over compatriot Bivol in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Bivol’s promoter Eddie Hearn and manager Vadim Kornilov publicly lambasted the scorecards, which were 114-114, 115-113 and 116-112 for Beterbiev.

One man that was impressed with Beterbiev was Amir Khan who believes his performance against Bivol was ‘punch perfect’.

“It was an amazing fight. Both fighters fought out of their skin. Big shots were landing and getting defended. One thing I can say, it’s the first fight I’ve seen Beterbiev fight. What a beast he is,” said Khan when speaking to Pro Boxing Fans.

“I thought Bivol was going to win this fight, but after watching this fight and seeing how Beterbiev fought, there’s nobody beating him. The guy was punch perfect. A great defence, very strong, and hits hard with both hands.

“You can see how marked up Bivol was, but there’s no marks on Beterbiev’s face, this guy is an animal.
