Shannon Briggs has named the hardest puncher he ever faced.

Briggs fought some of the elite heavyweights in Lennox Lewis and Vitali Klitschko but choose the legendary George Foreman as the man who hit the hardest.

Speaking to the JAXXON Podcast Briggs said:

“He was an amazing fighter, one of the greatest of all-times. To be in the ring with him was crazy, his presence, his jab, everything was like ‘damn’.”

“He was one of the greats, I was trying to survive and not get killed by George Foreman, he was beating everybody.

“He hit me so hard I couldn’t believe, I couldn’t sleep for two weeks. He gave me vertigo, he was hitting hard.”

The pair met in 1997 with Briggs scoring a victory by majority decision.

This would be the last time that Foreman would enter the ring before hanging up the gloves for good.
