Liam Payne, the upbeat native of Birmingham who once felt incredibly lucky to be a part of the X Factor phenomenon One Direction, has sadly passed away after falling from the third floor of a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is still unclear whether the fall was accidental or deliberate.

The 31-year-old musician was found on Wednesday at the CasaSur Palermo hotel.

Friends of the pop star were shоcked by the news, which surfaced just days after his ex-girlfriend Maya Henry filed legal action against him, alleging obsessive behavior and that he had used his fans against her.

Liam’s dеath occurred just hours after he posted a Snapchat photo with his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy.

The last sighting of Liam was when he was seen smiling with his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, dressed casually in black shorts and a backward white baseball cap without a shirt.

A friend told the Mail, “Liam had been facing challenges—he simply wanted to be a good person. This is an awful tragedy. No one can comprehend it. He had so much potential and worked extremely hard, yet he seemed unable to escape his inner struggles.”

Witnesses indicated that the former One Direction star was discovered shortly after 5 p.m. in Buenos Aires.

Earlier in the day, witnesses reported that Liam exhibited erratic behavior in the hotel lobby, smashing his laptop and needing help to return to his room.

Emergency responders were seen outside the hotel, where a red tent had been set up at the location. Police have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his dеath.

Liam reportedly had a turbulent relationship with his ex-girlfriend Cheryl Tweedy, who is the mother of their five-year-old son, Bear.

Concerns for Liam’s health had been ongoing. Last September, he was hospitalized in Italy due to a severe illness that caused him significant discomfort.

He also appeared troubled when he attended an Oscars party last year, seemingly grimacing during an interview with Good Morning Britain while speaking in a peculiar trans-Atlantic accent.

While many have speculated that Liam faced challenges after One Direction, friends have pointed out that he was a “sensitive soul” even before his X Factor audition.
