Princess Beatrice “isn’t afraid to be her own person” according to a body language expert who claims she takes inspiration from Kate, the Princess of Wales.

Beatrice who celebrated her 36th birthday on Thursday, is being encouraged to take centre stage by her husband, Edoardo Mozzi, and is already self-assured while carrying out her official royal duties. Those are the words of body language expert Darren Stanton who has looked at the Princess’ growth in confidence.

He has opened up on how the Princess shows similar signs to Zara Tindall as she is ‘confident in their own skin’, but Beatrice has herself revealed how she takes ‘inspiration’ from Kate. Analysing how Beatrice and Edoardo support each other as a couple, Darren said her husband chooses to be ‘more submissive’ to give Beatrice the ‘limelight’ which has helped her assert her presence.

Speaking on behalf of Betfair Slots, Darren Stanton said: “Beatrice is confident – similarly to Zara Tindall and Kate. She takes after her mother – who is also very much her own person. This is often shown through the clothes she wears, as she’s not afraid to stand out from the crowd. In some ways, this is reminiscent of Kate, who she takes inspiration from. Kate’s very similar in terms of being confident in their own skin.

“This all comes down to someone’s self-esteem and the ability to adapt. Beatrice has shown she is very self-assured. It’s taken quite a long time for her to gain this confidence. While she hasn’t been in the public eye as often as Kate, Beatrice has gradually shown she feels confident in her own skin. She holds her head high, is able to openly communicate her feelings and is happy to be taking part in Royal duties.”

He adds: “Beatrice doesn’t shy away from showing displays of affection in public. At times, we have seen her be very tactile by touching people on the arm. This reveals Beatrice is open with how she’s feeling and wants to come across as relatable and genuine – but to also connect with people and develop a trusting rapport with them.

“Edoardo is more submissive than Beatrice. Beatrice and Edo seem to be on a similar page as Meghan and Harry. Meghan’s a very strong personality, but like Harry, Edo is happier to let Beatrice take the limelight and be centre stage. He would prefer to slot into the supporting role as he wants her to flourish. This is reminiscent of Prince Philip, as he did the same with the late Queen Elizabeth.

“Over recent years, we have seen Beatrice’s levels of confidence grow over time. She has the ability to maintain eye contact as well as display a lot of open and honest body language. The main giveaway of someone’s confidence is their posture. Beatrice’s posture is often upright and she often matches and mirrors other people’s gestures, which tells us she has the strength to command control in the situation. A lot of the time, Beatrice she will place her hands on her hips with her feet spread apart, which are both power gestures and a way to assert dominance.

“Beatrice is a happy person and we rarely see her feeling sad. She’s expressive with how she feels. Her expressions are authentic – proven by the certain muscles that are engaged in her face. When we see Beatrice appear at bigger events, it’s rare – but she may have a slight lapse of self-belief. It isn’t often, but at times, we will see her nerves creeping in. This is shown through playing with her hair or looking down at the floor. But her levels of confidence and inner strength have slowly progressed. She has what it takes to take on Royal engagements alone because she feels strong as an independent individual.”
