Not only did the Prince and Princess of Wales surprise fans with a video appearance, but Prince William went through a huge transformation: he has facial hair.

On Aug 11, William and Kate Middleton made a surprise video appearance alongside stars like David Beckham, Snoop Dogg, and more. They shared the video to their X profile @KensingtonRoyal with the caption reading, “Well done @TeamGB, what an incredible journey! Every athlete showed immense dedication, heart and passion. You made us all so proud! Here’s to celebrating every triumph at @Paris2024 and looking forward to more from @ParalympicsGB later in the summer 🇬🇧🥇.”

In the video, we see Kate in an M.i.H. “Drew” Striped Wool Pullover that she wore back in 2017, saying in the video: “From all of us watching at home, congratulations to team GB!”

William, who was in a blue Adidas shirt, added, “Well done on all you’ve achieved. You’ve been an inspiration to us all.”

Not only are we delighted to see Kate and William amid their time off from the public eye, and Kate’s preventative chemotherapy treatments, but they look great! We always love seeing Kate rock a rewear but we need to talk about William for a second: he has a beard?!

In the video, many fans were shocked to see the normally clean-shaven Prince with a beard! There are many protocols about facial hair in the royal family, and the last time we saw him with a beard was during one outing in December 2008. But honestly, it suits him wonderfully!
