Former undisputed heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis has revealed that he once offered to help Anthony Joshua, insisting that Joshua “needed” him, but the young fighter chose not to accept the offer. In an interview with BoxNation, Lennox shared: “We really don’t have a relationship. Anthony would need me, especially with punches and certain fundamental skills, but he said no.”

After Joshua’s shocking first loss of his career to Andy Ruiz Jr., Lennox once again advised him to find a new coach. However, in response to this advice, Joshua did not hesitate to express his opinion: “Lennox is a clown. I have no respect for Lennox. Lennox and I are not the same; my legacy is to sit back and enjoy the young generation coming up, not to get involved… I’m different from Lennox, we come from two different generations.”

The underground rivalry between the two legends has sent shockwaves through the boxing fan community, opening up different perspectives on succession and legacy.
