MEGHAN Markle reportedly avoids reading about her apparent rift with Kate Middleton because “she believes in karma”, a source has claimed.

The Duchess of Sussex, 37, is said to be aware of negative headlines about her but “tries her best” not to read them, according to an insider.

It comes amid brewing tensions between the sister-in-laws as Prince Harry, 34, and his pregnant wife revealed they would be leaving the home they currently share with the Cambridges at Kensington Palace.

A source told Vanity Fair’s Katie Nicholl: “Meghan is a believer in karma and she doesn’t want to sit there reading negative online stories and comments about herself.

“She feels to a degree the British press is out to get her and while she’s aware of the news and what’s going on, she tries her best not to read all the stories about her.”

Kensington Palace refused to comment on the latest in the bitter feud, but well-placed royal sources have previously insisted there has been no major falling out between the two couples.

However, they have said that the two duchesses don’t get on particularly well and there has been some tension behind the scenes.

The falling out apparently dates back as far as last Christmas when the American TV star had complained that not all members of the royal family had made her feel welcome, leaving the couples at loggerheads.

Charles tried to make her feel more at home by organising an invitation to Prince William and Kate’s country home near Sandringham, Anmer Hall, in an effort to help the couples bond.

However, his plans fell apart, with a source telling the Mail that there was a “ghastly row” between the Sussexes and Cambridges.

A senior Royal aide told the publication that the atmosphere at the country home soured because Meghan was considered by those present to have been “downright rude”.

Another apparent reason for their rift was Meghan causing Kate to cry after a bridesmaid fitting for her daughter Charlotte.

Meghan has also reportedly been sharp with her staff, including reducing her PA, Melissa Toubati, 39, to tears and ultimately leading to her handing in her resignation.

Harry has also been throwing his weight around, angered that neither his brother or courtiers have been “rolling out the red carpet” for his bride.

The brothers have always been incredibly close, but Harry and Meghan are setting up their home in the grounds of Windsor Castle.

The Queen has given them Frogmore Cottage, which is having a multi-million pound refit paid for by the taxpayer.

It will provide ten bedrooms and a nursery for their baby, due in April. The couple are expected to move in next year.
