Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were not invited to this year’s Trooping the Color on Saturday, June 15th. (It was their second year in a row not receiving an invitation, FYI.) But that doesn’t mean they stayed out of the spotlight…
The 42-year-old former Suits actress has been accused of trying to steal the spotlight from the royal family, as a new raspberry flavor of her rather controversial American Riviera Orchard jam was revealed on the very same day as Trooping the Color. Coincidence? The internet thinks not!

A New Flavor Of American Riviera Orchard Jam And Dog Biscuits Debuted On The Same Day As Trooping The Color
Although the mom-of-two didn’t post anything about the new raspberry flavored jam on social media herself, her friend Nacho Figueras shared a picture of it to his Instagram Story on the very same day as Trooping the Color. In another Instagram Story, the professional polo player also shared a picture of his dog Nina Iggy posing next to a jar of dog biscuits with similar packaging, suggesting that dog biscuits are the next things that the brand will launch.
The internet thought Figueras’ Instagram Story was a very calculated move to not only attempt to pull focus from King Charles on his official birthday, but also steal the spotlight from Kate Middleton, who made her first public appearance since revealing her cancer diagnosis.
For what it’s worth, the Princess of Wales, 42, still received an incredible amount of attention during the event, with the internet raving about how gorgeous she looked, while also saying how much they had missed her.

Internet Reactions
While some people thought that Meghan shouldn’t be blamed because she personally didn’t post anything on the same day as Trooping the Color, many others thought she had something to do with it due to the timing.
“What a predictable thing for the tramp from #Montecito to do. Try to steal the spotlight from the RF. Yet it is still shocking and disgusting,” slammed one X user. “Quite frankly it’s hilarious – jam & dog biscuits versus Trooping the Color – lol – the stupidity of the duo is unchallenged!” exclaimed a second.
A third wrote: “What a fool! It’s quite sad that a woman of her age thinks some jam and dog food can equal the triumphant return of the princess of Wales for the Trooping of the Color. I really hope H figuring this out and planning for a divorce.” “Why does she keep making an absolute fool of herself like this?” asked another, adding: “Astonishing!”
Commenting on a Page Six X post about the raspberry-flavored jam debuting on the same day, one user wrote: “Narcissism at its finest.” “She’s so trashy,” slammed another, as someone else called her a “nasty person.” However, many others didn’t think the Princess of Wales had her spotlight stolen at all, with one saying: “No Meghan can ever outshine Princess Catherine, not then, now, ever.”
