The Voice may have raised some eyebrows with the addition of Snoop Dogg to the season 26 coaching panel. Once the season premiered Sept. 23, however, it didn’t take viewers long to warm up to the gangsta rap legend. In addition to seeing a more sensitive side of the “Gin and Juice” rapper, fans are also witnessing his vocal prowess.e Th D-O-Double G even flexed his vocal chops alongside fellow coaches Michael Bublé, Reba McEntire, and Snoop Dogg.

Watch ‘The Voice’ Coaches Nail This Rendition of “Heartache Tonight”

Ahead of Tuesday’s (Oct. 22) Battle Rounds episode of The Voice, coach Reba McEntire shared some behind-the-scenes clips to social media. The footage was set to the coaches’ performance of “Heartache Tonight,” the Eagles’ ubiquitous 1979 chart-topper.

“There’s no #HeartacheTonight with our #TheVoice coach performance!” wrote the “Fancy” singer on X/Twitter. “Take a peek behind the scenes with us.”

The Voice’s official X/Twitter account also chimed in: “no heartache here, ALL love!!”

Snoop Dogg kicks it off with the opening line (and yes, there’s crip-walking.) One by one, the rest of the coaches join in. Their bond is obvious as they sing, Everybody wants to touch somebody / If it takes all night / Everybody wants to take a little chance / Make it come out right.

The season 26 coaches have filled their teams, and we are now squarely in the thick of the Battle Rounds. When that phase wraps up, only nine of 14 players will remain on each team. So it’s refreshing to see them set aside the competition and come together to showcase their considerable talents.

“I could watch y’all perform all day and night!!” one viewer wrote on X/Twitter. “Such an awesome performance !!!”
