After sharing a new TikTok video in which she mentioned having “just got home from work,” Hailey Bieber stirred up quite a commotion among her fans. The Rhode beauty mogul, 27, shared a new video last week dedicated to her brand’s new cleanser. She spoke to viewers while wearing a cozy and sporty Fila top and she slicked her dirty blonde tresses back into a high bun with a furry headband.

“I just got back from work and I have a full face of makeup on, so I just wanted to show you guys how our new Rhode cleanser gives me the deepest cleanse and gets every single thing off in one go,” she said as the clip began. Fans and critics then headed to Bieber’s comment section to share their thoughts. “Got back from WHERE?” one wrote as another added: “What’s work?!”

Hailey Bieber Causes A Stir Among TikTok Followers With Her ‘Work’ Comment

Although Bieber said this phrase quickly and only once, many commenters were still hung up on it. Someone else wrote, regarding the model and influencer: “How long was your shift?” Another asked: “What work did you get back from?” One other joked: “but are they hiring tho??” Others, however, defended Bieber, with one replying to previous comments: “People don’t seem to grasp that we all have different kinds of jobs. Some people have a 9-5, some people don’t. Stop hating, work is work and it might look different for everyone.”

Another agreed: “everyone is acting like she doesn’t own her own brand! YES WORK QUEEN.” Many fans also took a moment to praise her “glowing natural” skin and makeup-free beauty as she took it off in the clip. “She looks natural with makeup and even better without OMG so beautiful,” one commented as one other chimed in: “How is she so beautiful with no makeup on?”

While that TikTok video drummed up mixed reactions, Bieber did receive a lot of praise for her follow-up post, which seemed to cheekily respond to the online hate she often receives. A few days after her cleansing vid and now infamous “work” quip, Bieber shared a video of herself rocking shimmering lip gloss, winged cat-eye liner, voluminous lashes and rosy blush. It was taken up close and in a seemingly dark area.

The Vogue cover girl and style icon then made a kissy face to the camera and mouthed along to an audio that said “blocked.” She then wrote in her caption: “exactly.” Many fans headed to the comments to commend her “unbothered” era. One wrote: “AS YOU SHOULD, QUEEN” while another responded: “Mwah, you ate.” Others praised her Rhode lip tint and expressed that they “couldn’t wait” to try her new products while many also complimented her “stunning” makeup look. (We have to agree!)
