Rihanna says her NY skyscraper apartment cannot be sold due to this shocking reason

Rihanna buys a condo in Sky-High Century City for an undisclosed amount and welcomes a new member.

Since 2014, Rihanna has made The Century, one of the most costly residential skyscrapers in Los Angeles, her permanent home.

She feels a little overburdened in her three-bedroom, 3,500-square-foot home with a new baby and another child on the way, staff, and her ever-present entourage.

In order to address this issue, the superstar from Barbados spent $21 million to purchase a penthouse, one of the largest residences in The Century, which takes up the full 40th level.

This sprawl is fit for an A-list celebrity, offering nearly 9,000 square feet of living space, a number of distinctive features, and breathtaking views.

Billionaire and co-founder of the digital startup Afterpay, Nick Molnar, sold the home after first asking for $28 million.

But since the deal was finalized on March 31, a day ahead of the new tax’s implementation, Rihanna probably used L.A.’s mansion tax as leverage to get a significant reduction. Molnar would have owing an extra $1.1 million in taxes if the deal had been completed in April

Upon exiting the private elevator landing into the condo’s entrance gallery, visitors are astounded by the living area’s curved wall of floor to ceiling windows, which provide views of the city skyline. The dining room’s dark brown hardwood floors continue into the white kitchen, which features two islands, marble worktops, and high-end appliances.

In addition to a soundproof home theater adorned with velour sofas, the residence also includes a luxurious master suite featuring a uniquely curved bedroom, two custom closets, and two bathrooms, as well as a separate lounge area. Notably, the condo boasts four distinct outdoor terraces facing various directions—north, south, east, and west—providing breathtaking vistas of the Pacific Ocean, Catalina Island, Downtown Los Angeles skyline, the San Gabriel mountains, and the snow-capped Mount Baldy.

Rihanna’s monthly HOA fee of $8,814 grants her access to a wealth of premium amenities within the building, including four designated garage parking spaces, round-the-clock concierge service, onsite security personnel, an outdoor swimming pool surrounded by lush gardens, storage facilities, an onsite restaurant, conference rooms, and numerous other upscale features.
