Kim Kardashian has seen a drop of over 100k followers after Taylor Swift’s TTPD diss track, proving the singer’s influence on her fans is stronger than ever.
Taylor recently dropped her 11th studio album and one song, ‘thanK you aIMee’, has sparked interest among fans due to its capitalised letters spelling out ‘KIM’. The lyrics appear to take a swipe at Kim, reigniting their 2016 feud which began when Kim released an edited audio clip of a conversation between Taylor and Kanye West.
Taylor later clarified that the call was taken out of context, a fact that came to light in 2020 when the full, unedited call was leaked. In 2023, Swift was named TIME magazine’s Person of the Year and spoke about how the scandal with Kim and Kanye had impacted her.

Following the release of Taylor’s diss track, Kim’s Instagram follower count took a hit, dropping by 120,000 and continuing to fall. From a total of 364.3 million followers, she now stands at 363 million as of April 23.
Taylor’s fans, known as ‘Swifties’, have been getting their own back, commenting the name of the song, ‘thanK you aIMee’, under photos posted by the SKIMS founder. This comes after Kim’s fans flooded Taylor’s pictures with snake emojis back in 2016.
While Kim hasn’t directly responded to the song, she did break her silence on Jimmy Kimmel, discussing her unusual habit of sleeping with her eyes open. She has also been busy promoting a new SKIMS collection.
Taylor hasn’t directly confessed that the song is about the reality TV star, yet in the title, the letters KIM are in caps. Her lyrics reveal: “All that time you were throwin’ punches, I was buildin’ somethin’ / And I can’t forgive the way you made me feel / Screamed, ‘F**k you, Aimee’ to the night sky as the blood was gushin’ / But I can’t forget the way you made me heal.”

Taylor narrates the story of her bully, named Aimee in the song. She felt there was never a “fair fight” between them, with references to Kim “laughing at each baby step I’d take” and “stomping across” her “grave.” Swifties also theorise that Taylor voiced out the rift with the song Cassandra.
Kim responded to GQ saying Taylor had given Kanye the green light to unveil his verse for Famous, which included the pop singer’s name. Kim states she was following the “proper protocol” and Taylor “totally knew that that was coming out.”
She added: “She wanted to all of a sudden act like she didn’t.”
