Hasim Rahman Jr. has admitted his coach helped alter the scales in a video sent to Jake Paul. Check out the alleged footage below.

The 31-year-old was set to take on Paul at Madison Square Garden on August 6, but the fight was called off last weekend after Paul claimed Rahman Jr. wasn’t taking his weight cut seriously.

A video of Rahman Jr. stepping on the scales a month before the fight emerged and he weighed 216lbs, 16lbs heavier than the contracted 200lbs weight.

Paul’s team leaked the video after Rahman Jr. admitted he was struggling to meet the new weight limit of 205lbs.

The 12-1 fighter would later concede a screwdriver was used to trick Paul.

“I want everyone to go watch that video that Jake [Paul] and BJ [Flores] is tweeting,” he explained in a Twitter Spaces.

“My coach was standing right next to the scale with a screwdriver. Like I said, you all can read between the lines. Do whatever you got to do to put it together. That’s the reality of what it is.”

Rahman Jr. stepped in to face Paul on a month’s notice after his bout with bitter rival Tommy Fury fell through.

Fury was denied entry to the United States for a pre-fight press conference and it’s the second time their fight has been called off.

They were set to clash in December, but Fury suffered a rib injury and had a bacterial chest infection.

Paul is yet to fight in 2022 and he currently holds a 5-0 professional record.

Despite the weight cut saga, UFC president Dana White has another theory behind the event’s cancellation.

He said at the UFC 277 post-fight press conference: “I think Jake Paul probably needs to get some different people around him. If he’s going to stay in the sport, he needs to be with guys that really know how to put on fights.

“I think they sold under $1 million in tickets and it costs $500,000 to turn the f***ing lights on at MSG.

“That’s what I think. Not to mention hotel rooms in New York and transportation is very expensive.”
