This Girl, Whose Birth Was ‘An Honor’ for a Whole Country, Now ‘Brings a Tear’ to Her Famous Dad’s Eye with Her Dance Skills

This young woman is the first biological child of a former Hollywood celebrity couple. She was born on May 27, 2006, in Swakopmund, Namibia, Africa. Samuel Nuuyoma, Namibia’s local governor at the time, saw her birth as an honor for the country.

Nuuyoma was delighted by her birth and noted how it was a special thing in African tradition. Then Deputy Minister Leon Jooste shared how Namibian law dictated that the child would be given citizenship in the country if her parents wished. Jooste also said the child’s parents were “thoroughly overjoyed.”

The world has watched her grow into a beautiful and talented individual. Since her birth, she has often been a subject of discussion, not only because she has famous parents but also due to her surprising choices, including her gender and sexuality.

From her early years, the teenager has always known what she wanted and stayed true to herself. During a 2010 interview with Vanity Fair, her actress mother told the outlet that her daughter has been exploring since she was a little girl.

According to the movie star, her daughter was only three years old when she made it known that she wanted to be a boy. Despite being a toddler, her parents respected their daughter’s choice.

They cut the little girl’s hair short and bought her clothes meant for boys. For years, the teenager dressed like a tomboy, thinking she was one of her brothers.

Irrespective of the public’s opinion, the celebrities were proud that their child stayed true to herself. Surprisingly, despite all the love and support her father has shown her regarding her choices, the child’s mother still believes the actor is a bad parent.

In 2016, at the beginning of their messy divorce battle, the “Maleficent” star suggested that her ex-husband was a risky dad and sought full custody of their kids. The claims went public, further placing them in the public eye.

Sadly, the father and some of his kids have become estranged over the years, thought his bond with his eldest biological daughter remained intact. The teenager has often been described as her dad’s mini-me, sharing a striking resemblance to him.

This was evident in 2019 when the young girl, Shiloh Jolie Pitt, attended the premiere of her mom’s movie, “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil.” The public could not help but spot the uncanny resemblance between her and her father, Brad Pitt. Her blue eyes, hair color, and hairstyle proved that she was his daughter.

Inside Shiloh Jolie-Pitt’s Transformation

By 2021, Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt had graduated to long locks, natural glam, and dresses, rocking her teenage years. In October 2021, during the premiere of “Eternals” in Rome, Shiloh graced the red carpet with her mom, Angelina Jolie, and sister, Zahara, channeling a “girly look.”

She was wearing a tan dress for the occasion and her hair was tied in a bun. However, the following month, she returned to her old looks, keeping it simple with a black hoodie, ripped denim pants, and her hair pulled back in a bun for the premiere of “Paper & Glue.”

Nevertheless, Shiloh still appeared gorgeous and girly as she rocked a beautiful updo rather than her signature short tomboy hairstyle. Since then, she has been spotted on several occasions flaunting her long hair while in high spirits.

Although the teenager seems to be in a happy place without issues, not everything in her life has been a walk in the park. In 2020, Shiloh underwent hip surgery when her sister, Zahara, also went under the knife.

Neither Brad nor Angelina disclosed details of the medical procedure, but the latter wrote an essay about children’s health issues worldwide and praised her daughters. The Hollywood icon revealed that Shiloh and Zahara permitted her to write about their medical procedures as they knew that fighting to survive was something to be proud of.

In the essay, Angelina revealed, “I have spent the last two months in and out of surgeries with my eldest daughter, and days ago watched her younger sister go under the knife for a hip surgery.” According to the mom of six, her daughters cared for one another during those trying times in the hospital. In addition, they studied what the nurses were doing so that they could assist later.

Shiloh was later photographed in crutches, and netizens suspected she was the one who underwent hip surgery, as Angelina did not specify in the essay, though she mentioned it was her younger daughter who did.

In January 2022, a video uploaded on YouTube saw her dancing to choreographer Hamilton Evans’ routines. In another clip, she moved her body to Lizzo’s “About Damn Time,” donning a black hoodie, matching sweatpants, and black and white sneakers.

Angelina and Brad were very proud of their daughter’s interest and prowess as a dancer. In August 2022, during the Los Angeles premiere of “Bullet Train,” Brad was asked what he thought of Shiloh’s dancing skills.

The actor confessed that watching his daughter’s videos “brings a tear to the eye,” adding it was “very beautiful.” The star jokingly admitted that he didn’t know where his daughter got her moves from because he’s “mister two left feet.”

Speaking about what he thought about his children becoming creatives, Brad said he’d love for them to find their own interests and voices, and flourish. Meanwhile, in a 2016 “Woman’s Hour” podcast interview, Angelina revealed that none of her children wanted to be actors, adding:

“They’re very interested in being musicians.”

The actress further revealed that her kids liked the process of film from an outside view, with Maddox having an interest in editing, while Pax loved music and DJing. The brood was also learning different languages, with Shiloh tackling Khmer, Cambodia’s language.

In 2019, the “Wanted” star spoke about parenting, confessing to her children knowing her “true self,” after helping her discover it again and embrace it. She admitted being through a lot and that she learned from their strength.

Angelina believes that just as parents wish their children to embrace themselves holistically, it is something children also want for their parents. While living under public scrutiny in the social media age, she encourages her children to stick to who they are and their beliefs.

While she knows it’s impossible to shield her children from physical pain, heartache, and loss, she believes they can be taught how to “live better through it.” Brad’s ex-wife’s idea of living boldly and freely as a woman involves urging her children to explore expression and ideas in the world.

Angelina doesn’t believe in limiting her kids’ capacity to learn. The actress also encourages them to explore the limits of their imagination on what they can do in the future.
