When Keeping Up With the Kardashians initially aired, the scandal was brought on occasionally with family members sharing their perspectives on the recording’s creation and subsequent leak. However, what shocked people the most was Kris Jenner’s reaction to the scandal.

Talking about the leaked tape and the scandal in the TV series, the socialite said that although she was furious as a mother, she also couldn’t unforeseen the opportunity to navigate the situation strategically as her daughter’s manager.

“When I first heard about Kim’s tape, as her mother, I wanted to kill her. But as her manager, I knew that I had a job to do,” she said, suggesting that she did see an opportunity in the leaked tape, which has since led to several controversies.

Rey J later claimed that the whole ordeal was premeditated by Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian, and the s*x tape was released intentionally. He also claimed that the mother-daughter duo attempted to shift blame onto him, painting him as the sole villain in the narrative.

Kris Jenner Does Not Plan to Retire Any Time Soon

During a recent conversation with James Corden on SiriusXM’s This Life of Mine, Kris Jenner shared her perspective on retirement. And the momager, known for her dual role as mother and manager to her famous children, made it clear that she has no intentions of retiring anytime soon.

“My mom [Mary Jo Campbell] retired when she was 82, and she talks about her job every single day when we’re together,” she said before adding, “She will say to me: ‘Oh, my job kept me young, and with purpose, and with joy.” Drawing inspiration from her mother, Jenner also plans to do the same as she shared that her work gives her a sense of purpose. 

“It’s finding solutions for things, it’s your organizational skills, it’s your people skills, it’s the love of life, it’s having somewhere to go, getting up, getting dressed, presenting yourself to the world a certain way, and interacting with the people that you love.”

However, her statement came amid a concerning update regarding Jenner’s health in the trailer of the upcoming season of The Kardashians. In the teaser, Jenner is seen seated with her daughters, as she delivers news of a concerning medical discovery. 

“I had my scan — They found a cyst and like a little tumor,” she says in the teaser clip. No further details were revealed in the teaser, leaving fans with unanswered questions and concerns regarding the specifics of Jenner’s condition.

The Kardashians Season 5 is set to premiere on Hulu on 23 May 2024.
