Advertise With Us

Principles, formats and how to start a conversation.

NewsToday123 is built for readers first, and we want advertising to respect that. We welcome partners who share that view. This page explains how we think about sponsorship and what we will, and will not, offer.

Our principles

  • Readers come first. Sponsor messages should be useful, honest and easy to tell apart from news.
  • Clear labelling. Anything paid for is marked as sponsored or as an advertisement.
  • Editorial independence. Sponsors do not influence coverage. Our firewall between advertising and the newsroom is described on our Ownership and Funding page.
  • Light touch. We prefer fewer, better placements to crowded pages.

Formats we plan to offer

Newsletter sponsorship

A short, clearly labelled message in the Daily Morning Mail. Newsletter sponsors are identified as sponsors and are kept separate from the three stories.

Clearly labelled sponsored stories, written to be useful to readers and marked as sponsored from headline to footer. They do not carry the 1-2-3 Digest format used for our news, so they cannot be confused with reporting.

Audio sponsorship

Short sponsor messages in audio programs such as the Morning Rundown, identified as sponsor messages and read separately from the news.

What we will not do

  • We will not sell coverage, or promise favorable reporting.
  • We will not let sponsors review or approve news stories.
  • We will not run advertising designed to look like news.
  • We will not accept misleading or deceptive claims.
  • We will not run ads for products or services that conflict with our standards, such as ones making unsupported health claims.
  • We will not sell reader data.

Prices and audience figures

We are not publishing rates or audience numbers here. As a new publication, we would rather discuss what is realistic with each partner than promise figures we cannot yet back up. Any figures we provide in future will be clearly sourced.

How to get in touch

To start a conversation, email [email protected]. It helps to tell us a little about your organization, what you would like to promote and which format interests you. We will reply as soon as we can, though we cannot guarantee a response time.

For anything that is not about advertising, please use [email protected].

How we handle sponsor content

Every sponsored placement will follow the same simple rules: it is labelled, it is separate from the newsroom's work and it is held to our standards for honesty. We reserve the right to decline any placement, and to remove one that turns out to be misleading. Our Editorial Standards page explains how sponsored material is handled in more detail.

We would rather work with a few partners we are proud of than with many we are not.
